To prevent swimming pool structure from cracking, (this could be a pool owner’s biggest nightmare); Best Choice Pool Works
will not over dug you pool, we will not skimp on steel reinforcement and we make sure that enough moisture is kept on pool
soil before Gunite installation. Over dug pools with deficient compaction under Gunite shell, just the minimum steel
requirements and lacking of adequate amount of moisture before Gunite, are in danger of cracking.
Prior to installation of pool decking on expansive soil conditions, a layer of gravel or crushed rock should be placed at a depth
of 3 inches minimum and soaked with plenty of water before pouring concrete. All swimming pools build on expansive soil,
should have adequate drainage systems to prevent water from going under pool decking.
